I cannot believe it’s taken me this long to share this SunButter Yogurt Dip recipe with you! This is a staple in our house as an afternoon snack, breakfast option, or even a dessert (especially when we make it with Chocolate SunButter – I like to order it on Thrive Market for an extra discount!).

Especially during this postpartum period where I’m looking for one-handed meals and snacks, this dip comes in handy. Plus, when your toddler loves it, you know you’ve hit the jackpot!

SunButter Yogurt Dip is…

  • Easy to make in a few simple steps
  • High in protein
  • A great snack
  • Kid-friendly and toddler-approved
  • Fun to eat
  • Great for crowds

I particularly love making this easy yogurt dip when my 2 ½ year old son has playdates. I like knowing that the kids are eating a nutritious snack, and it’s something different for most of them to munch on. Also, I love sending it in my son’s lunchbox with a bunch of fun “dippers.”

Ingredients in this easy SunButter Yogurt Dip

You only need 4 ingredients to make this SunButter Yogurt Dip, plus a bunch of fun “dippers” (but more on that later).

You’ll need:

  1. Greek yogurt
  2. SunButter
  3. Honey
  4. Cinnamon

Greek yogurt is the protein-packed base for this recipe, providing 20 grams of protein per cup!

What flavor of yogurt should you use?

I prefer to use plain Greek yogurt, but you could also use vanilla flavored as well. If you do choose to use vanilla, I’d add the honey slower to achieve your desired sweetness.

What fat percentage of yogurt should you use for this healthy yogurt dip?

Most often I suggest eating and cooking with 2% or full fat Greek yogurt. The fat will boost satisfaction, tastes better, and will keep you full longer.

SunButter adds flavor, plus fats to this recipe. By adding SunButter to the yogurt you’re creating a balanced, nourishing snack that’s super filling and tastes great. Plus, you’re adding fiber, more vitamins and minerals too.

Honey gently sweetens this dip. The amount you use is really up to you, but I think 1 tablespoon is the perfect amount per cup of yogurt you use in the recipe. You can use any other liquid sweetener too. If you do use a flavored yogurt, like vanilla, I would skip the sweetener until you taste it!

Cinnamon is an added layer of flavor that’s absolutely delicious! It makes this snack a little bit more elevated.

Can you make this sweet yogurt dip dairy-free?

Absolutely! Simply use a dairy-free yogurt instead of Greek yogurt. There are so many dairy free options available, but it’s important to note that most dairy free yogurts are very low in protein. As such, I would suggest mixing in some protein powder or unflavored collagen powder to boost the protein of this snack.

When shopping for a dairy free yogurt look for an:

  • Unsweetened type
  • No added sugar
  • At least 5+ grams of protein per serving

You can double, triple or quadruple the recipe very easily too, if you’re serving a crowd or want to keep a batch in the fridge for the week.

Is this yogurt dip for fruit?

Absolutely! I love to serve this dip with strawberries, banana slices (with toothpicks), grapes (with toothpicks), apple and pear slices, and even peach slices too.

How should you serve this SunButter yogurt dip?

In addition to serving this yogurt dip with fruit, here are some other great “dippers” for this SunButter yogurt dip:
