Growing up I went to summer camp in New Hampshire. Every other Wednesday was “trip day” and we would go on outings outside of camp. One of my favorites was to this cute town (I’m blanking on the name!) that had an adorable candy store. Being that we weren’t allowed to have candy in camp, we all went crazy. Everyone LOVED the fudge. Except me.

Because of my allergies, I had to steer clear of the fudge (cross contamination was a big issue!).

But not anymore!

This Healthy SunButter Freezer Fudge is what my childhood fudge dreams are made of…

And I know you will absolutely love it too!

It’s smooth and creamy, melt in your mouth delicious, and free from the top 8 most common allergens, which means you can likely enjoy it too.

Freezer fudge is having a moment, so if you haven’t tried it yet – what are you waiting for?

To make freezer fudge you combine the ingredients, pour it into whatever container you’d like and put it in the freezer. There’s no heating ingredients and then mixing while it cools to get the melt-in-your-mouth consistency you love.

True fudge is a labor of love. Freezer fudge is a busy person’s dream!

And the way to mimic fudgy texture (without the work) is to use coconut oil. Coconut oil hardens at cold temperatures. Thinking ahead, that’s why you MUST store this fudge in the freezer!!! It’s honestly magic – your kids may even be impressed!

There’s a lot of controversy around the healthfulness of coconut oil (that’s a blog post for another time), but I want you to keep in mind that using a VARIETY of foods is key. Maybe one day you eat coconut oil in this fudge and another you cook with olive oil or avocado oil. That’s what a balanced diet is about – not too much of just one thing!

And did I mention that this freezer fudge has only 5 ingredients?

And 2 are optional for the swirl! Although the swirl is 100% recommended because it looks cool!

Dairy Free Freezer Fudge

Traditional fudge is made with butter, milk, and sugar, plus whatever flavorings you’d like.

This Healthy SunButter Freezer Fudge is made with SunButter and coconut oil, with a dash of salt. The swirl is made from coconut oil, maple syrup and cocoa powder.

You may even have all of the ingredients in your pantry right now (I know I did!).

I opted to use Creamy SunButter because it already has sugar added. That means 1) you need one less ingredient, and 2) you can clean up one less measuring cup! It’s perfect for dessert recipes.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make freezer fudge, so learn from my mistake!!
