Ingredients to Make Sesame Free Everything Bagel Seasoning
You’ll need just 5 ingredients to make this seasoning, including:
Golden flaxseeds look just like sesame seeds, but they’re flaxseeds, and a little bigger.
They’re packed with omega-3 fatty acids and have a nutty flavor. If you cannot find golden flaxseeds, you can use regular brown flaxseeds too. I like to order online from this allergy-friendly brand to ensure there’s no cross contamination.
Poppy seeds are a must in Everything Bagel Seasoning!
While they may get stuck in your teeth, they lend a nutty flavor.
Garlic and onion flakes are the real flavor carriers in this seasoning.
I don’t typically have these in my pantry, but they’re worth the buy to make this flavor-packed seasoning.
Kosher salt is what bagel stores use to make salt bagels, and is the best here.
Not all everything bagel seasonings contain salt, but I think it’s a must!

- ¼ cup poppy seeds
- ⅛ cup (2 tablespoons) dried minced garlic or garlic flakes
- ⅛ cup (2 tablespoons) dried minced onion or onion flakes
- ½ tablespoons kosher salt
