Every year, Amazon hosts PRIME DAY where they have MAJOR sales and deals. I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for a good sale! So starting on Monday the 16th at 3pm ET through July 17, you’ll find EPIC sales and deals!

Are you ready??

Sign up for PRIME!

First of all, let’s chat about Amazon Prime because I am a HUGE fan. I mean 1-2 days to virtually anything I need (ok, or want) at my doorstep? Sometimes shopping in NYC is just too much for me, which is why I love Amazon. Plus, it’s hella expensive living in the city, so if I can save a buck (yes, even on toilet paper), I will!

Not sure what Amazon Prime is?

Amazon Prime is a subscription service from Amazon that gives you access to free 2-day delivery, video and music streaming, and much more, for a monthly or annual fee. As a Prime member, you have access to:

  • Free 1-2 day shipping… and even SAME-DAY shipping in some U.S. cities (that yes, I can confirm I’ve used for chocolate chips ????)
  • Amazon’s streaming library of music, movies, television, and books
  • Unlimited storage for photos in Amazon’s cloud
  • Prime Pantry, where you can order lower-priced groceries and household products and have them shipped altogether to your house for a flat delivery fee of $5.99 per box.
  • A 10% discount off sale items at Whole Foods + weekly discounts on other best-selling items
  • And more!

Here are my 20 favorite Amazon picks (or wants!):

In the kitchen…

Vitamix

Now is the time, people!! As much as I love the Vitamix we have, I’ve also been eyeing this one. I don’t think it’s time for a new one yet (they’re investments… and durable!), but if you’re looking for a new blender, definitely choose a Vitamix!!

Misto Oil Sprayer and Olive Oil (in bulk, duh!)

I love having FULL control over the ingredients I add to my food in my kitchen. That’s why I love my Misto Oil Sprayer. It lets ME choose the type of oil I put in there, and there are ZERO propellants or preservatives added. Woohoo!

You can add any type of oil you wish, but I personally love keeping one full of olive oil. Although maybe Prime Day is the perfect time to buy another for my new favorite, avocado oil???

Spiralizer

You know I love me a good veggie-based meal, which is why I’m obsessed with my spiralizer! Sure, you can buy pre-spiralized veggies at the supermarket (and on busy weeks I totally do that!), but it’s SO much cheaper to buy the spiralizer and DIY!

Here are some of my favorite spiralized recipes:

Summer Zoodle Salad With Avocado Miso Dressing | C it Nutritionally by Chelsey Amer, MS, RDN, CDN | Utilize farmer's market fresh produce in this Raw Zoodle Salad with Avocado Miso Dressing for a tasty side dish or main that screams summer!

Lodge Cast Iron Skillet

I am sooo late to the cast iron skillet game and I’m sooo sad about it! I was really intimidated at first because I heard so much about being careful about cleaning and taking care of it, but I’ve been having so much fun playing around with my Lodge Cast Iron Skillet.

Here are some of my favorite skillet recipes:

A Good Set of Pots and Pans

The Cuisinart set that we registered for is amazing, and I’m obsessed with them! This set comes with a bunch of sizes, so there’s something for everything… and when you don’t have a microwave and have to heat everything up on the stove, lots of pots and pans are a lifesaver!

For living…

iRobot Roomba Vacuum

This is one of the few things on this list that I don’t yet own and I will be buying this year… because my hair and crumbs are EVERYWHERE!! And I loathe vacuuming! Problem solved this this guy (so I hear)!

Ankle weights

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I love working out at home. But lately I haven’t been into it. That’s where wearing ankle weights around the house comes into play. It just adds a little extra oomph on my laps between the kitchen and next to my window to photograph 😉

Amazon Echo

As much as I like to say I dislike Alexa (our smart home speaker), she’s really helpful (and I don’t find myself talking to her when we’re on vacation or anything…). I ask Alexa the weather every morning, she plays music on demand, and she always knows what time it is when my hands are crazy full of I don’t know what!

Apparently the 2nd generation Amazon Echo was one of the MOST POPULAR buys last year on Prime Day, so I know I’m not alone when I say it’s a really useful smart home speaker! Plus, now they make the Echo Dot which is much smaller!

Adjustable Laptop Stand

My oh my was this a game-changer for me! I don’t know about you, but my butt physically hurts from sitting at my desk all day. Last year around the holidays, my hubby got me this adjustable laptop stand and it’s been so helpful to just get UP more throughout the day.

It can sit on top of any flat surface, which also makes it extremely portable, and it’s only $40, compared to many standing desks that are in the $100s. I cannot recommend picking one up enough!!

For back to school… (or work…)

Planet Box Bento Box Lunchbox and UKonserve Snack Containers

These are both stainless steel, which is lighter than glass (and kid-friendly) and much better for the environment than plastic. Plus, we don’t have to worry about what may be leaching into our food from not using reused takeout containers… win-win!

SunButter

It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of SunButter, and if your child’s school is nut-free, then you should be too! It’s full of protein and healthy fats (just like almond or peanut butter), but actually contains MORE fiber and vitamin E!

Stock up on this stuff… you won’t be sorry!!

The Reality of Living With Food Allergies | C it Nutritionally by Chelsey Amer, MS, RDN, CDN Unless you’re living with food allergies, or caring for someone who is, you may not fully understand the impact of living with dietary restrictions. As a dietitian living with food allergies, I feel it’s my responsibility to share my experiences, tips and tricks about to spread awareness this Food Allergy Awareness Month.

Stasher Bags

It’s also no secret that I am obsessed with my Stasher Bags! These silicone bags can replace Ziploc baggies in your life and it’s LIFE CHANGING… also environmentally-changing!

I always have a snack on me, and these Stasher bags make it easy to pack whatever I want on the go. They come in a bunch of colors, so stock up today!

To-go Bamboo Silverware

My friend Abby got me a set of this bamboo silverware as part of my bridal shower gift and I’m SO glad she did. Before carrying this set around I was using SO many more plastic forks and spoons. Not anymore!

Help the environment and pick up a set (or even a bunch to gift to your friends). Plus, they’re not too sharp, so safe for school!

Silicone Baking Cups

For birthdays, lunchboxes, or even art projects, these silicone baking cups are so versatile! I actually even have a few in the bathroom to help keep us organized!

For bloggers…

Canon t7i Camera

I’m always asked what camera I shoot my photos with and it’s a Canon t5i that was gifted to me almost 5 years ago! I’ve never taken a formal photography course, but some books and YouTube videos have really helped me improve my photography. I’m thinking this year is the year for some formal training…

Photo Backdrops

Something that has really helped my food photos POP is the use of simple backgrounds, with minimal accessories. When I first started blogging I had a million and one accessories. I’ve really cut down because it’s just not needed!

Here are some of my favorite backdrops:

My marble slab BTS…

A tripod

I’m definitely still mastering this, but for recipe videos, or those days when I’ve had a bit too much coffee, a tripod is always a good idea!

A planner

There’s something about a paper planner that just helps my creativity FLOW. It’s great to plan out content and think ahead… and see what holidays are coming up!

Time Management Cube

I’ve become a big fan of time blocking. For anyone who works, time blocking is such an efficient way to get more done in a shorter period of time. Sometimes though, it’s easy to get restless. This cube can help keep you accountable!

And there you have it – 20 of my favorite Amazon picks!

Happy shopping!
